The Adamawa State Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has dismissed 11 of its workers.

The Commission, in a move to punish offenders, demoted a magistrate to the registrar and downgraded 20 other staff.

The 11 staff were dismissed for allegedly securing employment in the service with forged certificates.

The 21 staff demoted allegedly used fake certificates to obtain promotions, according to a statement from the commission.

The Commission said, however, that it has approved the appointment of Victoria Jonah Polycarp and Yahya Abdullahi as deputy chief registrars for the state High Court.

A press statement obtained by DAILY POST on Saturday said the Adamawa State Judicial Service Commission also approved the appointment of a Director and a Deputy Director.

The statement, signed by Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission, Hindatu Lamorde added that Abubakar Ishaku has been appointed as the Acting Deputy Chief Registrar Sharia Court of Appeal.

It added that the JSC at its 177th meeting held on the 25th May 2022, okayed the appointment of Adabala Nicholas as Acting Chief Customary Court of Appeal and Elishama Gwama Dimas as Deputy Chief Registrar Customary Court of Appeal.
