Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah will be the major focus when the Bucs take on Moroccan club RS Berkane in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup on Friday (today).

The encounter is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, the home ground of Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Akwa United.

Ndah is a cult hero among Akwa United fans, having played a key role in their title-winning campaign last season.

The 24-year-old linked up with Orlando Pirates in August 2021.

Ndah has become one of the key members of the team, picking a regular berth ahead of former Bafana Bafana captain, Thulani Hlatshwayo.

The former Remo Stars player is expected to partner Happy Jele in central defence.

The centre-back presence is expected to help tilt support in favour of Orlando Pirates.

“I urge the Nigerian supporters to come and support us. Their prodigal son, Ndah, returns to their stadium. We are playing at the Akwa Stadium where he won the league before joining Pirates. We hope the Nigerians will get behind us at the stadium.” Pirates coach Fadlu Davids said ahead of the game.
