Wolves assistant coach, Tony Roberts, has slammed Chelsea’s striker, Romelu Lukaku, describing the Belgian as a big lump.

Thomas Tuchel handed the Blues’ club-record signing a rare start on Saturday after he was left marooned on the substitutes’ bench during last weekend’s defeat at his former club, Everton.

The Belgium international went on to reward his manager’s faith with his first Premier League goals since December.

He also netted from the penalty spot after the video assistant referee had ruled he had been brought down by Romain Saiss.

“He’s a big lump, isn’t he?” said Roberts who took the post-match press conference in the absence of the Covid-stricken Bruno Lage. “So, for him to go down, I’m not sure.”

The match, however, ended in a 2-2 draw as Wolves rallied and produced a stunning response, scoring twice in the final 11 minutes.
