Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has cheekily invited Manchester United fans to join in the celebrations if they beat Aston Villa to win the Premier League title on Sunday.
Victory for City will deny Liverpool a historic Quadruple.
Guardiola, who recently claimed the country wanted Liverpool to win the league, has been surprised to find out United fans are actually rooting for his side to beat Villa at the Etihad.
United are desperate for their bitter rivals Liverpool not to equal United’s record 20 league titles and also go on to surpass Sir Alex Ferguson’s 1999 Treble.
“So United likes City more than Liverpool? Oh my God, I didn’t know it.
“Welcome to United fans if they want to join us in the streets but they have to wear the blue shirts, they have to wear it. I was wrong when I said everybody in this country wants Liverpool to win,” Guardiola said.
