Patrick Vieira kicked an Everton fan to the ground after being goaded during the pitch invasion at Goodison Park after the Toffees’ 3-2 win over Crystal Palace on Thursday evening.

Everton fans stormed the pitch after the full-time whistle, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s late goal sealed a 3-2 victory over Vieira’s Palace.

The win for Everton ensured that they are safe from relegation going into the final game of the season against Arsenal on Sunday.

Manager, Patrick Vieira watched his Palace side throw away a two-goal lead after Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew had given them the lead in the first half.

But knowing what was at stake, Everton came into the second period smoking, producing an impressive comeback with goals from Michael Keane, Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin securing them a 3-2 win.

There was joy at Goodison Park, with thousands of fans flooding onto the pitch in celebration after the full-time whistle.

However, a former Arsenal midfielder, Vieira lost his cool with one supporter who repeatedly appeared to make a rude gesture in front of his face as he walked towards the dressing room.

The Frenchman initially overlooked the Everton supporter but then turned around and grabbed him before aiming a kick to the fan’s leg which knocked him to the ground.

Video footage which was posted on social media shows the fan hurling expletives at Vieira before the Palace manager confronted him.

Asked about the incident, Vieira told his post match press conference, “I do not have anything to say about that.”
