The Kwara State Police Command has ordered a full-scale investigation into the fracas at Alapa/Okoolowo/Oloje axis of Ilorin following the death of one person on Friday morning, DAILY POST reports.

The identity and the actual cause of death of the individual is still sketchy, according to the spokesman of the command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, in a statement in Ilorin on Friday.

He condemned the lawlessness which led to the death of the yet to be identified victim, describing it as uncalled for and must not be encouraged.

“Full-Scale investigation into the matter has been ordered by the Commissioner of Police, Cp Tuesday Assayomo, he added.

He said policemen have already been dispatched to the affected areas to restore calm.

Okasanmi informed that a detailed report of the investigation would be made available to members of the public as soon as it is ready.

He advised members of the public, especially residents of the affected areas to be cautious as they go about their lawful businesses and report any untoward activities in their areas to the police as sanity is gradually returning to the areas.
