Member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Bagos has clinched the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket in the just-concluded primary election held in Jos South LGA of Plateau State.

Bagos polled 34 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Hon. Abok Ayuba, immediate past Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, who scored 25 votes.

Also, Ezekiel Badung scored 3 votes and Ibrahim Musa Ashom scored 2 votes, while Dr. Chomo Datiyi and Mr. Pam David Jang got no votes.

While declaring the results, Chairman of the PDP Electoral Committee, Idi Waziri said, “Dachung Musa Bagos scored 34 votes and he is hereby returned as winner of the election.

He commended the aspirants for conducting themselves peacefully.

Waziri urged them to work together to ensure that the candidate wins the secondary election.

Also, Hon. Beni Lar has clinched the House of Representatives ticket for Langtang North/Langtang South.

Lar, who is aiming for her fifth term, polled 70 votes to defeat her only opponent, Nandam Tiem Gideon who scored 1 vote.

State Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the State, John Akans, disclosed this to DAILY POST in a telephone interview.

Akans said, “Hon. Beni Lar won after scoring 70 votes, and her opponent, Hon. Nandam Tiem Gideon got just one vote.

“Honestly, the exercise was peaceful and there was no complaint, so we thank God”, he explained.

Plateau primaries: Reps Bagos, Beni Lar win PDP tickets
