Real Madrid legend, Guti, has slammed Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, telling the 23-year-old not to see himself as the best player in the world yet.
This is after the France international shunned a move to Real Madrid, deciding to stay at PSG, a decision that sent a salty taste in the mouth’s of many in the Spanish capital.
Mbappe had looked set to join the Spanish heavyweights this summer when his contract with PSG expired.
However, there was an unexpected turn of events as the World Cup winner instead penned a new contract at PSG, keeping him at the club until 2025.
And Guti was not happy with the player’s decision and the 45-year-old, who made over 500 appearances for Real, said the 23-year-old has not even won anything at club level.
“He’s the best player in the world? It’s yet to be proven. Currently not,” Guti told El Chiringuito.
“How long has he been in Paris? How many Champions Leagues have they won? How many Ballon d’Or? He is so famous it looks like he is the best player in the world, but he is not.
“He’s the footballer with the most projections. He hasn’t won the Ballon d’Or or the Champions League”
