RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiola has extended his contract with the club until June 2027.

This comes after a €90million bid from Chelsea was turned down on Wednesday.

With the summer transfer window closing today, there is no time to complete an agreement, and talks will continue in January 2023.

This was revealed by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano said: “Official. Josko Gvardiol extends his contract with RB Leipzig until June 2027 — as Chelsea’s €90m bid has been turned down yesterday.

“No time to complete the agreement.

“Talks for Gvardiol to Chelsea/2023 will continue in January.”
