Barcelona are close to terminating Martin Braithwaite’s contract at the club, so he can join LaLiga rivals Espanyol.

Braithwaite, who is now surplus to requirement at Nou Camp, will sign a deal until June 2025 at his new club.

“Martin Braithwaite is now undergoing medical tests with Espanyol as he will sign his contract termination with Barcelona later today.

“Braithwaite will sign with Espanyol on a three year deal, June 2025,” transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

Romano also revealed Juventus midfielder, Arthur Melo, is set to undergo medicals with Liverpool ahead of a season-long loan move.

He wrote: “Medical scheduled in the afternoon for Arthur Melo as Liverpool and Juventus are closing on final details of a loan deal for Brazilian midfielder. NO buy option as things stand.

“Arthur has accepted right after the first call received by LFC yesterday night.”
