Aston Villa midfielder, Douglas Luiz will sign a five-year deal with Arsenal if both clubs are able to agree on a transfer fee.

The 24-year-old is very eager to make the switch to the Emirates but Villa is trying to milk the situation.

Luiz’s agents have held talks with the Gunners and thrashed out terms on a long-term contract.

However, Villa wants to get as much as £40 million for the Brazilian who has less than one year left on his contract.

“The potential agreement between Douglas Luiz & Arsenal on personal terms would be on a five-year deal. It’s ready on the player’s side but not yet between clubs.

“Aston Villa insist they don’t want to sell Douglas but player pushing,” transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted.
