Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has insisted they planned for this season with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has been trying to get a move away from United all summer, but has not received any offers.

With the summer transfer deadline on Thursday night, it appears the 37-year-old will not get his wish to play Champions League football this season.

“From the start we said we planned with Cristiano, it was clear.

“We are on the same page with him.

“We are happy with him, he’s happy to be here and we want to make the season a success together,” Ten Hag said.
