Newly signed Chelsea defender, Wesley Fofana, has hit back at his former boss at Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers, saying the manager chose to expose him.

The Frenchman signed a seven-year contract with the Blues on Wednesday after several weeks of speculations.

The 21-year-old was slammed by his former manager after he tried to forced his way out of King Power by abandoning training.

The France star now finds the opportunity to take a thinly-veiled swipe on his former boss in his lengthy goodbye to Leicester.

He wrote on Instagram: “I chose not to communicate during this transfer window despite all the criticism and all the often false and misleading comments, even when they were coming from the club. I understood and I learned.

“I didn’t want to damage the image of the institution and I chose to take it rather than answer….to the coach… even if he chose to expose me a lot lately… I got it, coach.”
